In the midst of COVID, coordination…

Since the beginning of COVID, Metro Community Center has convened a weekly Zoom call with local agencies and organizations to meet the needs of the Englewood community. Since it’s first gathering, organizations have joined together to feed residents, call isolated seniors, advocate for internet accessibility for students, provide summer youth programming, encourage voter registration and voting, and address issues of racial injustice.

Organizations include: Age-Friendly Englewood, Bergen Family Center, Bergen Volunteers, Center for Food Action, The Community Chest, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Englewood Health, Englewood Public School District / Athletic Dept., Family Promise, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, Greater Bergen Community Action, In the Meantime, NAACP, Office of Concern, Rotary Club of Englewood, SESCIL (Southeast Senior Center for Independent Living), St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, West Side Infant and Teen Parent Program, Women’s Rights Information Center
